Carbon Coated Al Foil for LIBs
Carbon-coated aluminum foil for lithium batteries is a new-generation current collector material in which a conductive carbon layer is uniformly coated onto the surface of high-purity aluminum foil (1060/1235/8079 and similar). By optimizing interfacial contact, the product significantly improves the energy density, rate capability and cycle life of lithium batteries, making it an ideal choice for high-end power batteries.
Product Specifications
Base foil thickness: 8–20 μm
Coating thickness: 0.5–3 μm (single- or double-sided)
Minimum areal density: 0.4±0.1 g/m²

Core Advantages
Outstanding Conductivity
- The carbon layer forms a three-dimensional conductive network with the active material
- Interfacial contact resistance reduced by more than 30%
Excellent Adhesion
- Peel strength ≥25 N/m
- Effectively prevents the electrode coating from flaking
Enhanced Safety
- The carbon layer buffers thermal expansion stress
- Reduces the risk of thermal runaway caused by cell polarization
Process Compatibility
- Compatible with existing coating and calendering processes
- Supports high-solid-content slurry coating
